Ok, this is awesome, its nice to see a different feel in the competition.
at 45 seconds the instrument that comes in sounds sharp. I would check that again, maybe fine tune it just a tat.
The bass was so f-ing groovy and catchy... almost a mix of funk and hiphop there... :P
Overall just chill!

Oh, that was just the bell thing playing the same riff from before in that segment, but an octave or so higher. It resonates pretty loud when it's played that high, so that's why it sounds sharp. I can assure you that it isn't though, and I couldn't think of another way to write it, so I just left it.

Concert Hall
It sounds like this was written in a concert hall... you need to let me know how you got such clean reverb. This really goes with the picture on the MAC 8, i think mine may have been to quick, but i guess its all personal imagry right?

Well, first off, I started from a good sample base (Reason Pianos.)
Then, I layered two pianos together- this song is actually not one piano sample playing- rather, it's two from the refill. It's just hard to tell the difference because they give the exact timbre I was looking for.
Finally, there wasn't much more to it than a lot of hardcore RV7000 tweakage- I just screwed around with it until I got a sound I liked.

This was so peaceful. Your piano was impressive, the timing on your percussion was right on! I loved the birds lol.
The intro was too quiet for me, maybe its my speaker set up. If you haven't lately, just double check that - easy fix. ( and i promise to check my speakers...lol)
You know the rest is all about personal taste so not much else to critique... a job well done. But since I also used piano in my MAC 8 i like this even more... :)

The way the outro and intro work pretty good from end, looping back to the beginning... you don't hear that very often.
The Intro was great.
The sounds used were not recognizable in FL studios, nice.
The mix wasn't too bad, Karco gave plenty of suggestions to fix that.
The score was great... i have no suggestions

The outro, needs to land the listener down more gently as well as alert us its coming to an end... if you don't know what I mean by these stupid metaphors PM me.
Length.... make it longer.
Guitar, as Karco said, centralize that guitar... and at times it becomes hidden, locate those spots and bring it out some. I do like that the guitar comes in panned (right i believe) but bring it to the middle at the latest after 1 measure.
The Bass..... i think for the most part the roughness of it is ok, but i would generally keep it smoother, until times you bring it out and you want it rough to bring it out for a moment and change the mood slightly, before going back into the general song feel. I would especially be careful with keeping it rough when it is just percussion and bass.... I would think maybe rough it as you lead into verse or chorus, or rough it at the start of the verse or chorus and then filter it back to a smoother state.
You know... if you do some better mixing you can easily have a vocalist in this, and it would just be brilliant!

yeah the outtro got a little rushed sicne i was a) considering making it longer, and b) its intended to be thrown into a mix by my friend so i didn't really pay much attention to it, but given i expand it, ill do better hehe.
i thought the roughness was good, i tried to use the smoother one for smoother parts. but i guess its a little too rough? ill work on it.
and if iwere to do vocals, well, i'd center the mix around the vocalist, like in this remix i made: http://www.newgrounds.com/audio/liste n/168894. now, to find a vocalist... hummm

I would like to know how many automation clips you used :) .
Firstly i think this is more House / Trance. But who cares its all blendy anyways, except the really really dancy songs, if u know what I mean.
I like the name of the song. so plus points for BeatSource.
The piano was good. I also like the mixing job, well done... i'm not 100% on the mastering, but it sounds decent as far as I'm concerned.
The only reason i gave it a 9 instead of a 10 that the arrangement kinda felt alittle boring.... but thats all about about taste... as far as production this is excellent.

industrial/techno
This was an interesting industrial feel to this techno song. I liked the dark/hard feel, but i don't feel like the slowness of the melody matched the hard synths. It was very repetative for the genre... but i'm not one to talk since i do annoyingly repetative stuff... i liked the breakdown and good change ups after a minute.... I think that you should have put that earlier. Then after you come back in you come in with a quicker melody and drums.... 4/10 - let me know if you remake this. I'd love to hear this into a complex song.

Well written
This was very well written, some of the synths were great (lead) and i'm really liking the melody..... but the percussion was lacking.... maybe it was my speakers, but they felt muddy and soft. Work on the mix and eq a little, maybe use some different percussion instruments if that doesn't clear it up. But well done.... i gave it an 8, but i'll vote 5, cause i know the bombers will bomb.

this is way nice
Great short string there in the beginning (the accoustic guitar type sound).
Good transition to add the arpish synth.
I like the beat, not just a 4 to the floor, but this has some break beat elements. Then at 1:13 you bring in the classic 4 to the floor and it works.
There was a good lull near the end of 1 minute, it's nice to have those down times to really like up times.... then coming in with the Jumpstyle rhythm, which i think is 6/8, though you may need to correct me on that.

Just quality here.
The string pad was delicious. The vocals were delightfully placed.
The piano/string combo was 100% win.
The beat was right on, couldn't hear any off from the vocals.
The landscape pads were great.
Effects were pro on this... so much attention to detail, man.
Mastering as well.... just right on.
2:12 was yummie too, the jazzy, hiphop, pop synth was just juicy and i want to eat it.
Anyways, i think you could have a career in this.... go whore yourself now to producers.
